Serving God is always in season and out of season.

Weeks before I got engaged, God called me to serve as a unit head in SFC. It was a very unexpected call to serve. But peace embraced me so I said yes to serve for the remaining months of my single life.

To others, that decision may sound crazy but to my closest friends, they would understand the joy I have for service. I also appreciate Totskie's support. He would always find time to help me and even fetch me after our late night activities.

This week, I scheduled one on one dates with some of my sisses. I feel to blessed to have them. They are an affirmation that I did the right decision to accept my last mission.

Hay, thank God for sisterhood!!!::D

Published!*

After a number of drafts and intensive pretesting, my "baby " is now out!

This is the publication we made with illustrations of Steph Bravo, my favorite cartoonist from the Philippine Daily Inquirer. :) It was launched last week at Traders Hotel and a lot of people from both public and private sectors were asking for copies. *Ehem ehem*

This one is sooo dear to me because it's for kids. I felt like I was back to being a teacher again, preparing creative materials to excite my students. God knows how much I miss those days.

Thank God, I was able to finish this. And a lot of publications are now in the pipeline.

*We shout this out when we publish our e-newsletter every Friday afternoon. And every time say that, the satisfaction is at the maximum.

Moms and pamamanhikan

Preparing for a wedding is the best time to appreciate families, especially moms. During the Tome's pamamanhikan, our fathers did nothing but nod and say, "Ok!". No prob about that because we know that they are just like that. But our moms? They were sooo into the wedding, which is good 'cause they are behind us in the line up of the most excited persons about our wedding.

The pamamanhikan was so fun, with Totskie's mom as the emcee. Yes, may ganon. Sa tagalog, si Tita ang bumangka. haha. She looks so much like Totskie. The only genes that Totskie did not get from her were those that express PR skills. :)

Three hours of discussion weren't enough to tackle all our moms wanted to discuss about but they had to leave because Tito Leo (Totskie's dad) had to go to work in the evening.

But there's part 2. After having lunch with Momsi and Popsi at Nuvali for Mothers' Day, we headed to Totskie's home in Binan to greet her mom. Eh di chikka galore ulit ang mga mothers. :) I didn't catch up with their discussion because I was not feeling well. Before we left, our moms hugged and greeted each other (again) a happy mothers' day. Kakatouch. :,)

I Heart Families

It was a love-filled weekend. Right after work last Friday, we hit the road for my cousin's wedding in Pampanga. It was soooo traffic in EDSA so we stopped over at Megamall. Mom and I got the chance to buy shoes. Thank God for midnight sales because my old shoes are so addicted to rugby na. :D

We arrived the hotel at around 2am and finally had our rest. In the morning, we had chitchat with relatives over breakfast ala Mekeni. Then started with our beauty mantras. Mom was my hairstylist, and I was hers, and I was our MUA.   It was the first time we did that and it was a perfect girl mother-daughter bonding!

Achieve ba???:D
It's my first time to have curls. Thanks mom!!!

At the reception...

I usually encourage single ladies to stand up after the MC announces the invitation for bouquet toss. Kasi naman, magpapapilit pa, papayag din naman. :D In this wedding, only four ladies admitted that they were single. The bride threw 3 roses and whoever did not get one would be the winner (or the loser). And I didn't get one. What a coincidence. Luckily, most of the guests were oldies so the garter was placed under my knee. Haha! Nahulog pa nga pagtayo ko! :D

Then we headed home for another family event on Sunday—when Totskie's family asked for my hand in marriage from my dear parents! <3

Blessing after blessing after blessing...

I wrote the title as if I was playing a sweet harmony on the piano. I wanted to close my eyes and feel the music. But in a split second I remembered I was writing a blog. :)

There's so much to thank for everyday but this week came a tidal wave of blessings from my God. MUA, check. Church, check. Reception venue, check. Wedding gown, check. Ikakasal na talaga ako.:)

I know I sound like a girl super in lurve with her man. Yung wedding a bukambibig ko. Thank God my best friend and her hubby are wedding fanatics as well and they don't get tired of asking me about the wedding. :) Totskie and Momsi are on the same shoes as well.

I also thank the Lord for all the people who are helping us. Ang dami nang nagvolunteer mag-ninong/ninang. So keber na lang sa long list of sponsors. Everyone wants to bless us, so be it. God is super generous eh!

Booked!

I've been drooling and praying to book one supplier for more than a week now. When I first read about her, I already said to myself that I will book her for my own wedding. But when I engaged and finally asked for her rate, I realized that it's more than our budget. So I searched for others who might give me a lower rate. And yes, I found some. But I guess first love doesn't easily fade away. :p

I prayed hard to God to take that desire away if it does not come from Him. More than a week has passed, and I still want her with a lot of advises from friends to get a good MUA.

And the green light? My brother (the best brother in the world) said he'll pay a portion of it as his wedding gift. Yown!!!

So this afternoon, my sweet fiance booked our MUA, Jasmine Mendiola. :D If you don't know her, you might know her fruit, Mio, the artistic kid who battles cancer.

Thank You Jesus from the bottom of my heart. :D
