He who loves his wife loves himself*

I'm just so grateful that my husband is keeping his promise to pursue me even if he's no longer courting me. :) Last night, he went out to buy me milk. Then he prepared the milk for me to drink. After I cleaned up, he offered to put cocoa butter oil on my tummy. When I was putting socks on to prevent leg cramps, he got the socks and said he'll do it for me. Then he read David's story to our baby. After all the evening flurries, he turned off the light and led us in prayer. Then he hugged me until I fell asleep.

And he does such gestures every single day. Who wouldn't be thankful for a husband like him?

*In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. Ephesians 5:28

Salamatsss sa SSS

When I received my first paycheck ever, I felt sad about seeing the difference between the gross and the net income. I didn't appreciate why I had to pay SSS, PhilHealth, Tax, etc. But then now that I'm older (and less selfish, haha) I'm thankful about these, especially that I'm having a baby soon! SSS and PhilHealth have become good friends na maasahan! So yesterday, Totskie and I went to SSS to submit my maternity notification form. To add more smiles on our day, the SSS staff of Sta. Cruz branch we're all nice.

After an hour of processing all our SSS forms, we headed to Pagsanjan and relived our engagement days. We planned to eat brunch at Aling Taleng but then their cook was not yet in! Well at least they were already serving Halo-halo, which we had for breakfast at 10AM. :)

Peace in Pain

A close family member is going through tough times right now. But even if I see her going through pain, I'm feeling peace inside me that God will turn this event into a victorious one. Why? Because she belongs to a praying family. And they don't just pray, they strongly believe in God's power over things and persons who claim to be powerful.

This family confronted the person involved in the situation and yet they started the discussion with a prayer. They wanted hatred and all other negative emotions to be out of the discussion. They asked for God's Spirit to take over.

In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. (Romans 8:26-27)

Baby Kaitlin

Hello Baby,

A few weeks from now, I'll be seeing you face to face. That's an everyday reason to be grateful. We're sharing not just the same body or same nutrients and air, but your movements become my movements as well because I can see my tummy moves when you do your acrobatics. This new hobby of watching you consumes me and I know I'll be devoting more time on this for rest of my life.

I used to thank the Lord for the love that your Daddy and I share. But since you were conceived, I add more thank yous to Him because of another big love that makes this life more worth it to live.

You are my sunshine, baby.

P.S. Please change your position now baby. Head near the exit, ok? :)) Thanks dear!
